A 21-year-old man died in an airborne crash into a utility pole, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, Sept. 29. Ryan Stiver, of the 300 block of Gap Road in Ronks, has been identified as the man who died in a single-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Strasburg Road/Route 741 in Paradise Township at 9:25 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, as detailed by PSP Lancaster Trooper Paul Price and identified by Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber the following day. A trucker was medically evacuated by a helicopter to an area hospital following a serious crash into a Littlestown laundromat early on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, authorities explained. The driver is thought to possibly have had a medical issue before he lost control of the vehicle, exiting the road, hitting a parked vehicle, causing the tractor-trailer to rollover and slam through the Littlestown Laundry Center, authorities said. Horse Struck Dead By Van, No Charges Filed: PA State Police
A horse was struck dead by a minivan in Salisbury Township on Thursday, Sep. 5, Pennsylvania State Police announced the following day. The 2011 Dodge Caravan driven by 20-year-old Leon Lapp of Atglen struck a horse standing on Churchtown Road just south of Main Street at 6:01 a.m., PSP Lancaster Trooper Joshua Croyle wrote in the release. A car crashed into a utility pole and a stone wall in Susquehanna Township on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 29, Progress Fire 32 announced. The Susquehanna Township Police and multiple fire departments were called to the crash in the area of Walnut Street and Oak Street around 4:30 p.m., according to a release by the Susquehanna Township Police. A 19-year-old man died at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Sunday, Aug. 11, Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg announced the following morning. Delbert Zimmerman, of Shippensburg, was driving a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja on Rice Road when he struck a utility pole at a high rate of speed at 9:08 p.m., PSP Trooper Spenser Myers detailed in the release.
