Car Crashes Into Bus Shelter Near Target On Lincoln Highway East (Photos) A car slammed into a bus shelter near the Target on Lincoln Highway East, trapping the driver inside and prompting a rescue, authorities announced on Thursday, Jan. 23. The Lafayette, Witmer, and Ronks Fire Companies, along with Lancaster EMS and East Lampeter Township police, were dispatched to the crash in the 2300 block of Lincoln Highway East around 8:30 p.m., according to the Lafayette Fire Company. Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30.  John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner. The strike happened around 4:10 a.m. and Zimmerman was pronounced dead at 4:54 a.m., as dispatchers said and as noted in the coroner's release.  Zimmerman was already dead when first responders arrived, according to LCWC. Murder-suicide: Pair Found Shot Dead In Ronks Home, Coroner (Update) Two people who were found dead inside a home in Lancaster County on Wednesday, August 7 have been revealed to be a murder-suicide the coroner announced on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 8. Ann M. Sellers, 47, and Kyle D. Heagy, 32, were found inside a home in the 2800 block of Lincoln Highway East, Ronks at approximately 7:08 a.m. by East Lampeter Township police, as detailed in the release.  The officers were conducting a welfare check when the pair was discovered.
