Witnesses Sought In Crash Killing MD Dancer, 20, As Suspect Flees Scene: PA State Police
Pennsylvania State Police have identified the driver of a white SUV who witnessed the crash that killed 20-year-old Maryland dancer Amelia McEvoy, troopers announced on Saturday, Jan. 25.
However, investigators are still looking to identify the vehicle that was being passed by the suspect vehicle at the time of the crash, PSP York announced on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
The crash happened on the Susquehanna Trail South in Springfield Township, York County on Friday, Jan. 17, at 9:12 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported.

A black bear that bit and scratched a man in Pennsylvania has tested positive for rabies, Pennsylvania Game Commission officials announced on Thursday, Jan. 23.
The bear-human conflict occurred on Sunday, Jan. 19, in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, the commission said in a release. The adult male bear aggressively approached the man, exhibiting abnormal behavior before biting and scratching him, according to officials.

A 92-year-old Philadelphia woman who went missing on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, was found dead in her neighbor's car two days later, police said.
Bessie Watson, who suffered from cognitive decline, was last seen by her daughter around 2 p.m. at their home on the 1700 block of Georges Lane in Wynnefield, according to Philadelphia police.
Surveillance footage captured Watson leaving her home that afternoon but showed no signs of her return, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
