Pinned By Falling Metal Pallets, Man Killed At East Penn Manufacturing: Coroner
A Schuylkill County man was killed in a workplace accident after being pinned by falling metal pallets at East Penn Manufacturing in Berks County.
Stephen Rapp, 48, of South Manheim Township, was pronounced dead at 8:41 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said on Wednesday, March 12.
The fatal incident happened at 102 Deka Road in Lyon Station around 7:49 p.m. when the metal pallets fell on Rapp, causing mechanical asphyxia, officials said. His death has been ruled an accident.

York Mom Rams Car With 10-Year-Old Inside During Fight: Police
A York mother is accused of ramming another woman's car with her 10-year-old child inside, Spring Garden police announced on Tuesday, March 11.
Frances Crouse, 51, of the 100 block of Willis Lane, got into an altercation with her boyfriend and another woman at the intersection of State and Windsor streets around 5:20 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2024, according to police.
During the fight, Crouse allegedly used her white BMW to intentionally crash into the other woman’s vehicle while her child was inside, officers said.
