Levittown Mom Of Three Identified As Train Operator Killed By Fallen Tree, Family Plans Lawsuit The family of the New Jersey Transit train operator killed by a fallen tree is planning to sue several organizations for negligence, an attorney said. Jessica Haley of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was identified as the person who died in the crash, according to a news release from the Anapol Weiss law firm on Thursday, Oct. 15. The single mother of three boys was 41 years old. Haley was operating a River LINE train heading north from Trenton at around 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14. Meanwhile, family members are raising money for funeral expenses for Jazavier Phelps-Hines, of Reading. Phelps-Hines died on Saturday, Aug. 3 at about 3:40 p.m. when his car was struck by a train in Tilden Township, according to the Berks County Coroner's Office. 1 Hospitalized After Train Strikes Vehicle In Lancaster Co.: Authorities One person is in the hospital after their vehicle was struck by a train on Tuesday, July 30, a supervisor with Lancaster County Wide Communication told Daily Voice. The call to the train versus car collision at the railroad crossing in the 2500 block of Horse Road in Upper Leacock Township came into LCWC around 4 p.m. One person in the vehicle was taken to the hospital, and their injuries are reportedly minor.  The road was closed at 5:15 p.m. as emergency crews remained on the scene.

Man Struck Dead By Amtrak In Philly, Police Say A man was struck dead by an Amtrak in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Philadelphia Police announced on July 14.  The "John Doe" was struck by the Amtrak along the tracks at Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street in Mayfair at 9:43 p.m. on July 13, PPD detailed in the release.  The striking train, Engine 52, had been heading south, according to the police. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 10:13 p.m. Additional information was unavailable at the time of publishing.
