A West Goshen detective sergeant has been charged with stealing drugs from a community medication collection program, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. David Maurer, 55, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substances and Felony Theft by Unlawful Taking, according to the DA. Maurer was responsible for emptying medication collection boxes located at the West Goshen Township Police Department and Chester County Hospital. A Reinholds man has been charged with invasion of privacy after an investigation revealed he allegedly possessed inappropriate images of a juvenile, the Ephrata Police Department announced on Monday, Nov. 18. Anthony John Valente, 39, is accused of possessing images of the intimate parts of a juvenile taken without the victim’s knowledge or consent. According to police, the photos were taken from a distance and zoomed in on the victim's body and intimate areas. A man wanted for more than 100 counts of child rape and similar offenses in Delaware County has been arrested, according to the US Marshals in Philadelphia. Man, 82, Shoots Wife In Head With .22 Caliber Rifle: Berks County DA
An 82-year-old Berks County man was arrested after shooting his wife in the head with a .22 caliber rifle, the Berks County District Attorney's Office said. Howard “Philip” Boltz, of Bethel, called police to report that he had just shot his wife in their home on Airport Road at 9:10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, according to the district attorney's office. Bensalem Man Busted With Prepubescent Child Porn, Police Say
A Bensalem man is in police custody on child pornography charges, township police say. Michael Dunbar, 55, is also charged with criminal use of a communications facility, according to authorities. Police said they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Google account linked to Dunbar in April.
