A 39-year-old Lyft rideshare driver is accused of sexually assaulting a passenger who was incapacitated by an inhalant in Luzerne County, authorities said. The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop P Criminal Investigation Unit is currently investigating the sexual assault that occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Edwin Valentin Perez, the driver from Hazle Township, was taken into custody on Wednesday, Aug. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police. A tractor-trailer hauling a tank of chocolate syrup rolled over in Lebanon County on Wednesday morning, July 24, authorities explained. The crash happened in the 1800 block of South Forge Road/PA Route 117 near the Campbelltown roundabout in South Londonderry Township, at 2:55 a.m., according to township officials. The crash shuttered the roadway from Airport to Hinkle roads and Northside Drive's eastbound traffic at Brookwood Drive, officials detailed in a release.
