Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30.  John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner. The strike happened around 4:10 a.m. and Zimmerman was pronounced dead at 4:54 a.m., as dispatchers said and as noted in the coroner's release.  Zimmerman was already dead when first responders arrived, according to LCWC. Teen Girl Struck Dead In Lancaster, Coroner Says A 15-year-old girl was found dead on the side of the road on Monday morning, Aug. 5 the Lancaster County Coroner Eric Bieber announced. The coroner had been called to a pedestrian struck at 1420 Beaver Valley Pike in Strasburg Township at 3:28 a.m., according to the release. The teenage girl was found by investigators and the coroner along the side of the road following the vehicle strike, as detailed in the release. Waynesboro Man Struck Dead Walking To Mailbox, PA State Police Say A 59-year-old man was struck dead walking to his mailbox on Friday, according to a release by the Pennsylvania State Police on Monday, July 1.  Troy A. Truax of Waynesboro was in the area of 8556 Hades Church Road, Antrim Township when he was struck by a 2015 Ford driven by Thomas M. Michalsky, 25, of Greencastle, PSP Chambersburg Trooper Antoniette Cross detailed in the release.
