Crash Involving Philadelphia Firetruck Kills Woman, Police Say A 23-year-old woman is dead following a crash with a Philadelphia Fire Department truck, city police announced on Saturday evening, Aug. 24.  The PFD Ladder truck was heading west on Lehigh Avenue when a passenger vehicle traveling north on West Sedgley Avenue pulled out in front of them at the intersection in the District 22 at 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, PPD detailed in the release. Driver In 'Critical Condition' After Highspeed Crash In Elizabethtown: PSP A serious crash has sent one person to the hospital in "critical condition" Pennsylvania State Police announced on Monday, July 29.  The driver of a Ram 1500 was "traveling at a high rate of speed on Linden Ave and failed to negotiate a curve" onto N. Hanover St./PA State Highway 743 — going over the curb and striking a tree, PSP Lancaster troopers detailed in a release.
