Chinese Restaurant Owner Stabbed In Philadelphia, Police Say
Someone came into a Chinese restaurant and stabbed the owner on Thursday evening, Sept. 5, Philadelphia Police announced about an hour after the incident. A person armed with a weapon entered The Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant located at 4901 North 5th Street, in the 35th District, shortly before 5 p.m., PPD detailed in the release. A federal prisoner from York has been indicted for possessing a shank in a Pennsylvania facility, authorities said. Anthony Gilbert-Brown, 29, a federal inmate incarcerated at FCI Schuylkill in Minersville, was indicted Wednesday, Aug. 28 by a federal grand jury on the charge of possession of a weapon, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. An arrest warrant has been issued for a convicted sex offender who failed to register with Pennsylvania State Police, according to a release by the Erie County District Attorney's Office on Friday, Aug. 30. A 39-year-old woman was shot in the leg during a fight inside an auto body shop in Philadelphia, authorities said. At approximately 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, a shooting incident occurred inside Hollywood Collision Auto Body at 100 West Erie Avenue, police said. Man With Drug Warrant Flees Police In Lycoming County
A 40-year-old man was arrested for fleeing police in Lycoming County, authorities said. Michael Charles Devan had been stopped on Aug. 20 by Williamsport police near West Fourth and Campbell streets. During a traffic stop, Devan learned that he had an active felony drug warrant, police said. Philadelphia Police responded to a man barricaded inside a basement, authorities said. The person had a weapon on the 4100 block of Devereaux Street (private rowhome) at 10:49 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, they said. A 46-year-old Chester County man is accused of ramming his car into a patrol car and then charging at the officers, authorities said.
