Deadly Early Morning Shooting Under Investigation: Philadelphia Police
A man died from his wounds after he was shot multiple times Friday morning, Aug. 2, authorities say. The shooting happened before 4 a.m. on the 200 block of West Somerset Street in Kensington, according to PPD. The victim, a man in his early 30s, was struck in the abdomen, right leg, and left arm, police wrote. A 36-year-old self-proclaimed "hard working Mother of 5" allegedly assaulted an adult, a child, and four officers all, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Wednesday, July 31, and as stated on the suspect's social media. Two men are sought in connection with a July 9 shooting in Muhlenberg, according to officials. The suspects were walking on the 2400 block of Kutztown Road when a car double parked beside them around 6:45 p.m., police said in a release on July 31. After a brief interaction with the driver, one of the men took out a pistol and shot a nearby parked car, authorities said. The driver of the double-parked car sped off. Bucks Man Fired Gun In Occupied Home, Police Say
A man is in custody for firing a weapon in a Warrington home, township police said in a release on Monday, July 29. Safarie Xiong allegedly shot a gun in a residence on the 1200 Block of Palomino Drive on July 20, according to authorities. The round went through two occupied rooms but no one was injured, investigators said. Xiong, 48, was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, police said. A man who was found dead in the Delaware River on Thursday, July 26 has been identified, Philadelphia police announced in an updated release the following morning. Darnell Dogan, 42, of the 4600 block of Ditman Street, was found near North Delaware and Linden avenues in Torresdale around 3:30 p.m., authorities wrote. Pedestrian Hit, Killed Standing On Philly Street Corner: Police
An unidentified man has died after he was struck by a car in Philadelphia on Wednesday night, July 17, authorities said. The man, believed to have been in his 50s, was standing on the corner of Frankford and East Allegheny avenues when he was hit by a Toyota around 7 p.m., city police said.
