Horse Struck Dead By Van, No Charges Filed: PA State Police
A horse was struck dead by a minivan in Salisbury Township on Thursday, Sep. 5, Pennsylvania State Police announced the following day. The 2011 Dodge Caravan driven by 20-year-old Leon Lapp of Atglen struck a horse standing on Churchtown Road just south of Main Street at 6:01 a.m., PSP Lancaster Trooper Joshua Croyle wrote in the release. The Caravan was going south on the Road when it hit the horse then continued across the northbound lane of traffic, off the road, into a PP&L utility pole, Trooper Croyle explained. A 54-year-old endangered woman has been found in Chester County, authorities said. Annette Zuckerman was found safe on Thursday night, Sept. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Troop J, Avondale Station. Originally she was reported as possibly in danger, authorities said. Zuckerman was last seen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at her home, State Police said.

PSP Investigated 580 Crashes, Wrote 24,865 Tickets Over Labor Day Weekend
Pennsylvania State Police investigated 580 crashes over the four-day Labor Day weekend. From Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2, those crashes resulted in 170 injuries and six deaths. Those totals were lower than the 671 crashes last Labor Day that resulted in 220 injuries and 10 deaths. Impaired driving was a factor in 65 of this year's crashes, three of which were fatal. 50 Years After Being Found Frozen In Pennsylvania Cave 'Pinnacle Man' Is Identified
The body of a man found frozen in a Pennsylvania cave nearly 50 years ago has been identified, authorities said. The remains of Nicholas Paul Grubb, 27, of Fort Washington, Montgomery County, were discovered in January 1977 by two Appalachian Trail hikers who had ducked inside the cave to escape foul weather, according to the Berks County Coroner which announced the news last week. Grubb has long been known as the “Pinnacle Man,” named after the mountain peak near where his body was found. A garage and a home were damaged when a U-Haul truck exploded spraying someone's personal belongings in a Pennsylvania neighborhood, authorities announced on Monday, Sept. 2. Teen Bicyclist Struck Dead, PA State Police Say
A 19-year-old bicyclist from Susquehanna was struck and killed at a stop sign, authorities said. Hannah E. Shaffer died at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 on East Main Street west of Spring Avenue in Susquehanna Depot, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The driver of the car, Todd M.
