Verity Beck Sentenced For Killing, Dismembering Parents An Abington woman charged with shooting her parents and dismembering their bodies with a chainsaw was sentenced Monday, Sept. 30, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office told Daily Voice the following day. Verity Beck, 45, pleaded "guilty but mentally ill" to two first-degree murder counts, the district attorney's office said. She was given two life sentences that will be served concurrently.  Beck will also receive mental health treatment while serving her prison time, according to the district attorney's office. Dad Of 5 Shot By Police ID By Montgomery County Coroner The identity of a 55-year-old father of five shot by police in East Greenville has been released by the Montgomery County coroner. Gabriel Diaz died of multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder in the shooting on Saturday night, Sept, 14, Coroner Dr. Janine Darby told Daily Voice on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Gun Trafficking Group Operated In Pottstown, Boyertown: Prosecutors Nine members of a suspected gun trafficking organization are in police custody, said the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in a release on Tuesday, July 30.  The group, which operated out of its alleged members' homes and storage units in Pottstown and Boyertown, "specialized in the acquisition and distribution of illegal firearms," prosecutors said.  The investigation began in February, when suspected member James Hiller showed up at Pottstown Hospital with a stab wound, according to authorities.
