Fire Destroys Abandoned Harrisburg State Hospital Building: Investigation Ongoing Firefighters battled a massive blaze at the abandoned Harrisburg State Hospital grounds in Susquehanna Township late Monday, Dec. 9, leaving the historic Cherrywood building in ruins, officials said.
