Fentanyl, Meth, And Guns: PA Dealer Caught In Stolen Car Bust Sentenced

A Harrisburg drug trafficker with a stolen car, piles of meth, fentanyl, and illegal guns is heading to federal prison, authorities announced on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Kyle Malik Jones, 33, was sentenced to 160 months behind bars on Tuesday, Feb. 25, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said.

His downfall began on March 17, 2021, when Susquehanna Township police found a stolen vehicle parked outside a hotel. The car alarm went off, and Jones walked out of his hotel room to shut it off—a move that led straight to his arrest.

Inside his room, police uncovered:

  • 731 grams of methamphetamine
  • 221 grams of fentanyl
  • Cocaine
  • A Ruger .40 caliber pistol with an obliterated serial number
  • A Hi-Point .380 caliber firearm
  • $7,635 in cash
  • 300 small rubber bands, a digital scale, and two cell phones

Jones pleaded guilty on March 11, 2024, and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson as part of a federal crackdown on violent crime and drug trafficking.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Susquehanna Township Police, with prosecution led by Assistant U.S. Attorneys David C. Williams and Jeffrey St. John.
