Guatemalan Man Killed In Rainy Night Crash In Delco: PA State Police A pedestrian was struck and killed on a dark, rainy stretch of W. Baltimore Pike in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania State Police announced. Jose L. Pelico Gonon, 35, original of Guatemalan but most recently of Media, was fatally hit by an Acura RDX driven by Christopher Conley, 22, of Havertown, at approximately 8:21 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, according to the release. Gonon had crossed the northbound lanes onto a raised concrete island dividing the highway before stepping into the southbound left lane, failing to yield to oncoming traffic, investigators said. The brothers were struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver while riding their bicycles on Aug. 29 in New Jersey. The service began at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  St Mary Magdalen's Church in Media, PA.  Police said that the event will cause major impacts to traffic.

Driver, 2 Passengers Killed In US Route 1 Crash: Delaware County Officials (Updated) Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on US Route 1 outside Media on Tuesday morning, according to officials.  The crash happened on US Rt 1 South near the ramp to Route 252 (Providence Road) around 8 a.m. on July 2, authorities say. The driver of a transit van and two passengers have died, said the Delaware County District Attorney's Office. Their identities were not given.
