A man was struck and killed by a northbound Septa train at the Race Street platform in Philadelphia early Thursday, Jan. 23, authorities said. The incident occurred at Broad and Race streets in the 9th District around 4 a.m., according to police. The man, described as a white male of unknown age, was hit as the train passed the platform. Emergency crews from Philadelphia Fire Department Engine 20 responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead at 4:52 a.m., officials said. Man Struck Dead By SEPTA Train At Wallingford Station: Police
A Nether Providence Township man was killed after being struck by a SEPTA train at the Wallingford Station on Sunday, Jan. 19, police announced. Emergency services responded to East Possum Hollow Road shortly after 12:30 p.m., where the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from Nether Providence Township Police. The Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office and township police are investigating the circumstances of the death, though foul play is not suspected. A branch of a tree that had fallen on tracks broke through a New Jersey Transit train's windshield, killing the operator in Burlington County, officials said. The family of the New Jersey Transit train operator killed by a fallen tree is planning to sue several organizations for negligence, an attorney said. Man Struck Dead By Amtrak In Philly, Police Say
A man was struck dead by an Amtrak in Philadelphia on Saturday night, Philadelphia Police announced on July 14. The "John Doe" was struck by the Amtrak along the tracks at Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street in Mayfair at 9:43 p.m. on July 13, PPD detailed in the release.
