One person is in the hospital after a fire ripped through a duplex in Cumberland County on Tuesday night, Nov. 5, according to Northeast Fire and Rescue. The blaze broke out in the three-story duplex located in the 200 block of Wyoming Avenue in East Pennsboro Township at 10:52 p.m., officials explained. Crews arrived to find flames shooting out the roof and learned one person was still inside, according to the Northeast Fire and Rescue. Flames shot out of a chimney in Lancaster County early Monday morning, Oct. 28, fire officials announced. The chimney fire broke out in the 200 block of Center Road in East Drumore Township at 5:42 a.m. while Robert Fulton Fire Company crews were already assisting the Quarryville Fire Company on the scene of a four acre wood fire, officials explained. Robert Fulton Truck 57 and Rescue 57 responded from station, and Engine 574 freed up from the woods fire also went to the scene. A child was hospitalized following a row home fire in York County on Wednesday evening, Aug. 21, according to York Area United Fire and Rescue. The call to the two-alarm fire at the row home located at 525 South Albermarle Street in Spring Garden Township came in at 11:35 p.m. according to a release by the York Area United Fire and Rescue Fire Chief Daniel J. Firefighters Rescue Child In Car At Parking Lot Outside East Drumore Giant
Quarryville firefighters rescued a child locked in a car Thursday, Aug. 15. The company received the call to the child locked in a vehicle at 4:05 p.m. They were found locked in the SUV pictured in the parking lot outside of the Giant grocery store in East Drumore Township. An adjunct professor and author from Lancaster, PA who always wanted to go hiking in New Hampshire was rescued while hiking in NH on Monday, New Hampshire Fish and Game announced on Tuesday, July 2. Cordelia Moyse, 60 of Lancaster, Pennsylvania slipped and injured her leg while hiking the Wentworth Trail of Mount Israel in Sandwich New Hampshire on July 1.
