Helfrich’s veto of the Trust Act during its meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, leaving the city’s proposed immigrant and refugee protections in limbo. PA High Schools Are Among America's Biggest But Not Best, According To Niche Niche has released lists ranking American high schools for 2025. Unfortunately, none of Pennsylvania's public, private, charter, and magnet high schools earned A+ from Niche or were ranked in the top 50 best schools. The state does have one of the most diverse high schools with Central Dauphin East Senior High School coming in at number five on the list.  Three of the largest high schools in America are also in PA: No. 1 Commonwealth Charter Academy in Harrisburg.
