28-Year-Old Inmate Dies After Allegedly Being Denied Medical Care In Franklin County Jail
A Franklin County inmate died days after allegedly begging for medical help and being ignored by jail staff, authorities and his family say.
Morgan T. Carbaugh, 28, of Fayetteville, died at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital on Saturday, May 17, 2025, while in the custody of Franklin County Jail, according to Warden Heather Franzoni.
He had been transported there from the jail where he was being held on felony charges related to child exploitation, Franzoni said in a brief statement issued Monday, May 19.

A man charged with stalking called his victim from jail just one day after his arrest in a Pennsylvania town, 6abc reports.
Matthew Kwatyra, 30, of Allentown, was arrested on Thursday, June 6, in connection with a stalking incident that happened in Darby, Police Chief Joseph Gabe Jr. said.
