Infant Found Unresponsive In Pennsylvania Home: State Police An infant was found unresponsive inside a Pennsylvania home, State Police announced on Thursday, Sept. 18. They were dispatched to the area of Upper PMHE South Drive and Upper PMHE North Drive in Middle Smithfield Township (Monroe County), after receiving a report of an unresponsive six-day-old boy around 7:06 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14. Emergency medical services were summoned, and the infant was stabilized, according to the release. The incident remains under investigation by the Stroudsburg Crime Unit, authorities said.

Infant Girl Found Unresponsive In Philadelphia Home Dies: Police An infant girl was found unresponsive inside a Philadelphia home and later pronounced dead at the hospital, police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Officers and medics responded to a report of a 2-month-old girl who was unresponsive at a residence on the 400 block of Mechanic Street at approximately 7:45 a.m., according to Philadelphia Police. She was transported to Einstein Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased at 8:41 a.m., authorities said. The cause of death and circumstances surrounding the case remain under investigation, police said.
