Shalyne Brown, 27, is behind bars following an investigation into the death of her toddler in November last year, according to the Howard County Police Department.

An iconic musician was forced to cancel a pair of concerts after being hospitalized for both COVID-19 and dehydration.
Carlos Santana, who founded the popular group Santana, postponed his shows scheduled for Tuesday, April 22 in San Antonio, Texas, and Wednesday, April 23 in Sugar Land, Texas.
An announcement on the guitarist's website on Wednesday said the 77-year-old experienced dehydration yesterday, "and has since tested positive for COVID."

New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington DC residents are being urged to avoid consuming certain oysters after a recall linked to a norovirus outbreak, federal officials announced.

Authorities in Berks County have charged the grandparents and uncle of a 6-year-old girl who died of dehydration earlier in May, they announced Monday, Aug. 5.
The victim was in the care of her grandmother, Jazmine A. Rodriguez, her grandfather, Manuel Rodriguez, Sr., and her uncle, Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., in Reading when she died of dehydration and prolonged exposure to high ambient temperature due to child neglect on May 28, Berks County District Attorney John T.
