3-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Pennsylvania Pond: Police A 3-year-old boy from Chesterbrook died after he was pulled from a pond in Chester County on Labor Day, authorities said. The incident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 at Wilson Farm Park near Lee and Wilson roads in the Chesterbrook area of Tredyffrin Township. Police were called to the scene for reports of a missing child. Chop Doctor Killed In Philadelphia Crash The bicyclist who died in a crash on Wednesday, July 17, was a doctor at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, according to police and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia website.  Barbara Ann Friedes, 30, was struck from behind by a 2018 Volkswagen on the 1800 block of Spruce Street around 7 p.m., Philadelphia police wrote in a release.  The Volkswagen then hit three parked cars before coming to a rest, police continued. Patrol Car Strikes 5-Year-Old Girl, Philadelphia Police Say A child was hospitalized after being struck by a police car in Southwest Philadelphia on Tuesday night, June 4, authorities say.  A patrol officer hit a 5-year-old girl on the 1600 block of South Ithan Street just before 7:30 p.m., PPD said. She was taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and is reportedly in stable condition.  No one else was injured and the crash is under investigation, police said.
