Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Juniata Street around 2:25 a.m. They found "multiple shell casings and one live round of ammunition after canvassing the area," as written in the release.

A witness told police they heard multiple gunshots and saw two men running toward Stevens Avenue.

A resident on South Anne Street "provided evidence that at least one bullet penetrated their 5-year-old’s bedroom window," the police said, noting that "the child did not sustain any injuries."

An investigation into the shots fired is ongoing.
