Shot Child Hospitalized, PA State Police Say (Developing) A boy is in the hospital after being shot in Central Pennsylvania, state troopers announced on Monday, Oct. 7.  The unnamed child was taken in a private vehicle to  Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township on Sunday, Oct. 6, according to PSP Troopers in Carlisle.  The preliminary investigation has led PA State Police to believe the child was shot in Carroll Township, York County, although the investigation remains active. Fire Prompts Evacuation At Central PA Pizza Hut: Authorities A fire led officials to evacuate a Pizza Hut in Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3.  The fire broke out at the Pizza Hut located at 320 North Reading Road near the intersection when Dutchland Avenue in Ephrata at 12:05 p.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle Closes Part Of I-81: PennDOT A fatal crash involving a motorcycle has closed part of Interstate 81 in Central Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Saturday evening, Aug. 31. The deadly crash completely shuttered the southbound lanes of I-81 near the crash scene at mile marker 82 beginning around 5:30 p.m., Schreffler detailed. Traffic is being detoured at exit 85 in South Hanover Township. The interstate was closed for several hours., reopening around 9:19 p.m., according to an updated statement from Schreffler.
