Car Carrier Catches Fire On Rt 283 In Central PA (Photo) A car carrier caught fire on Route 283 on Monday morning, Sept. 30, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The call to fire came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety at 8:03 a.m. Fire crews responded to a tractor fire on Route 283 East at the Middletown Road Exit in Dauphin County Monday morning. There was a lane restriction in the area. The tractor of the car carry was hollowed out by the fire, as seen in PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras.  No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing.

Fiery Fatal Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer, Minivan on US11/15: PennDOT Multi-vehicle crashes —  including a fatal crash — have closed north and southbound lanes on US 11/15/Susquehanna Trail on Wednesday, Aug. 7, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice.  The fatal crash involved "a tractor-trailer and a minivan, fire and entrapment," Schreffler said.  The crashes happened in Buffalo Township, Perry County, just before 10:30 a.m., according to Schreffler.
