A 17-year-old boy from Fleetwood died on Friday, Sept. 20, three days after the car he was a back-seat passenger in struck a tractor-trailer, his family said. There's lane restriction on Interstate 81 following a multiple vehicle crash on Friday evening, Sept. 27, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash on on I-81 southbound 1.1 miles north of Exit 57: PA 114 - Mechanicsburg at 6:08 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA. A passenger vehicle caused a tractor-trailer to overturn on Interstate 283, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Friday, Sept. 27.
