TikTok Flex In Stolen Car Cracks Major Montco, Philly Carjacking Wave: DA
A TikTok video filmed inside a stolen Chevrolet Cruze helped bust a violent carjacking crew accused of terrorizing victims across Philadelphia, Norristown, and Whitemarsh, officials said.
The video, posted by 19-year-old Anthony Lamont Bell, was the first clue in an investigation that led to the arrests of eight people, including a 17-year-old, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele announced Friday, April 4.
Bell allegedly used the TikTok account to show off the stolen Cruze, which police say was used in the January 28 carjacking of a silver Infiniti QX80 in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police Officer Ryan Daut shot 22-year-old Quron Banks after he struck another officer with his Camaro while fleeing an illegal car meet, authorities announced Friday, Jan. 24.
Officers monitoring for illegal car meets found a gathering at the Target parking lot on 4000 Monument Street around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, police said. Banks, driving a red Camaro linked to illegal meets, sped away, evading officers on I-76, authorities said.
