PA Dogs Starring In World Cup-Themed Event From 'Puppy Bowl' Producers
Rescue dogs from across the Northeast will be competing for hearts and glory in an event inspired by the "Puppy Bowl" to celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup. "LG Channels World Pup," a four-part puppy soccer tournament, will premiere on Wednesday, June 10, LG Electronics USA announced in a news release on Monday, June 1. A 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death allegedly by his adoptive father, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The attack happened inside a home on Louis Circle, Butler Township, (Luzerne County) around 6:20 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, according to PSP Hazleton. Rescue officials are desperate for help after 30 animals were seized from a home in Berks County. The Bucks County SPCA rescued 124 farm animals neglected in horrendous conditions in Wrightstown, authorities announced late on Thursday, Aug. 8. The animals were at Narrow Way Farm at 887 Worthington Mill Road in Wrightstown Township, the SPCA said.
