Unhoused Man Found Dead In Tent Near D&L Trail In Bethlehem

The man found dead along a walking path in Pennsylvania has been identified, authorities announced on Wednesday, June 24.

Christopher Lee Crouthamel, 57, of Allentown, was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at the scene in the 200 block of River Street, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio.

Crouthamel had been residing in a tent near the D&L Trail , the coroner said.

The Lehigh County Coroner's Office had previously confirmed to Daily Voice that investigators were called to the scene after reports of a deceased man found along a walking path on Sand Island West.

The cause and manner of death remain under investigation. The cause of death is pending toxicology testing, according to the coroner.
