Hazleton Woman Killed In Fire: Lehigh County Coroner Says A Hazleton woman's death was the result of a house fire, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office announced on Monday, Sept. 30. Lisa R. Thompson, 59, was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest on Sunday, Sept. 29, according to the coroner. Fatal Fire: Elderly Philadephia Woman Killed In House Fire, Police Say An unidentified woman in her 80s died in a house fire on Wednesday, Sept. 11, authorities said. At approximately 9:50 a.m., an Emergency-911 call was placed reporting a residential structure fire at 3500 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia police said. Responding units arrived on the scene to find the property engulfed in flames, police said. "An approximately 87-year-old female, identified as Jane Doe, was located inside the residence," police said in a press statement. Off-Duty Philly Cop Helps Rescue 4 From Fire An off-duty police officer helped rescue four people from a house fire in Philadelphia, authorities said. Two people died at the scene of the fire, Philadelphia police said. On Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7:35 a.m., Philadelphia Police and Fire departments responded to a report of a residential fire and people trapped on the 900 block of Granite Street, in the 2nd District. The four recused victims were transported to Temple University Hospital and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children by PFD-Medic Units.

On Friday, Aug. 23, at about 4:30 a.m., the Philadelphia Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a fire, people trapped on the 1800 block of East Russell Street, in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia. 84-Year-Old Killed In Afternoon House Fire: Philadelphia Police A Philadelphia man was killed when a house caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, city authorities said in a release.  Firefighters were called to the 2300 block of East Lehigh Avenue at 1:35 p.m., the police department said.  Citizen.App The 84-year-old victim was found unresponsive on the first floor. PFD medics pronounced him dead minutes later, according to the release. His name was not reported.  Units were still on the scene as of 3 p.m.
