Philly Leader Of Armed Robbery Crew Who Shot Store Employee Sentenced To 32 Years: DOJ
A Philadelphia man who led a string of six violent armed robberies across the city and nearby counties in February 2021 has been sentenced to 32 years in federal prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Lawrence McKay, 37, forced cell phone store employees at gunpoint to hand over cash and merchandise during a three-week crime spree, authorities said. In one robbery, McKay shot a store employee in the stomach, and in another, co-conspirator Brenton Holmes shot an employee in the leg. Both victims survived, according to U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. PA Man Charged In Armed Robbery Of NY Gas Station: Police
An Pennsylvania man is among two suspects arrested for an armed robbery at a gas station in Yaphank, New York, Suffolk County police announced Friday, Jan. 24.
Marion Maupin, 32, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and Raiquan Davis, 27, of Medford, New York, allegedly robbed an employee at gunpoint at the Shell station located at 482 Sills Road at approximately 7:30 a.m., police said.
The suspects were located shortly afterward on Wilson Avenue in Coram, where police recovered the gun used in the robbery, according to the release.
