Man, 50, Shot In Head, Killed In Philadelphia Street: Police A man in his 50s was shot in the head and killed on the 5000 block of Westminster Avenue early Monday, Dec. 9, Philadelphia police said. Officers were called to a report of a person with a gun at 4:22 a.m., authorities said. When they arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound to the head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene at 4:42 a.m., police said. No weapon was recovered, and no arrests have been made. Police ID Pizza Delivery Driver Killed In Philadelphia Police ID Pizza Delivery Driver Killed In Philadelphia
Police ID Pizza Delivery Driver Killed In Philadelphia Authorities have named the 29-year-old deliveryman shot and killed in Philadelphia on Thursday, June 20.  Danny Matthews of the 2400 block of Harlan Street was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital, city police said.  He was shot while sitting in the driver's seat of his car on the 2000 block of Ridge Avenue, according to investigators. Authorities said he was the victim of a robbery.  No weapon was recovered from the scene and no arrests had been as of midday Friday, police said. The Homicide Detectives Division is investigating.
