9-County Retail Theft Ring Busted: PA Attorney General
Five people involved in a major organized retail theft operation have been charged with targeting stores across nine counties, authorities said. Marlin Polanco, Malik McDonald, Cartier Hardy, Homario Oldacre, and Lorenzo Walters were charged in Dauphin County with corrupt organizations, organized retail theft, and related crimes, Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry said on Monday, Aug. 26. The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public's help in finding a missing endangered person, Sarah Elizabeth Haynes, 30, was last seen leaving her residence in the 1100 block of North Lee Street on Aug. 17, at approximately 8:30 a.m. Sarah is approximately 5’5” tall, and weighs around 155 pounds. She has blue eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a green long-sleeve shirt, black jeans, and black boots. The woman who died following a "medical emergency" at the Elizabethtown Fair on Tuesday, August 20 has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office. The lives of two Maryland men were cut short in a crash on I-81 last week in Pennsylvania, and now, their loved ones are rallying to give them proper burials. Diamonte Drequan Disney, 25, and Tiheen "Tizzy" Justice Nathaniel Matthews, 20, both of Hagerstown, MD, both died in the crash Wednesday, Aug. 21 in Antrim Township, as previously reported by Daily Voice. A former college baseball player was struck dead on Interstate 81 on Sunday, Aug. 25, the Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall told Daily Voice. Quinton J. Heckard, 26, of Hummelstown, was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-81 South at mile marker 61.7 at 8:13 a.m., according to Hall. A 25-year-old CNA died at the scene of a rollover crash early Monday morning, Aug. 26, Pennsylvania State Police announced later that day. A 19-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash in Carbon County, authorities said. Joshua Beck of Penn Forest Township died as a result of the crash on Saturday, Aug. 24, according to Carbon County Coroner Mark K. Smith. 'Decomposed Body Discovered Hanging From Tree,' In Pennsylvania, Police Say
"A decomposed body was discovered hanging from a tree in the woods," Philadelphia Police announced on Sunday, Aug. 25. Police were called to a report of a body in a tree in the 1400 block of North 66th Street at 9:47 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25. The person was officially pronounced dead at 9:50 a.m. by Medic 41.
