A 37-year-old Pennsylvania man is facing charges for arranging a sexual encounter with a child under 16 years old at a Bergen County, NJ hotel, authorities said.
Thomas G. Rutledge, of Green Lane (Montgomery County) began talking with the child over Snapchat, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Rutledge was a stranger to the child, and engaged in "sexually explicit" conversations, Musella said.

A duo has been charged with homicide in connection with the death of a 10-year-old girl in their care, East Pennsboro Township Police announced on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Russell Moore, 56, of West Fairview (according to the court records, Enola according to the police), and Angela Marie Donmoyer, 51, of Enola were the caretakers of a 10-year-old girl when she died in Aug. 2021, as detailed in the release.

A Bethlehem woman is accused of leaving a baby in a hot car, Quakertown police said in an updated release on Wednesday, July 31.
Janelle Loveless, 33, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to borough police.
The infant was spotted in an unattended car at 245 W. Broad St. on July 5, authorities said. The windows were slightly cracked and the car was not running, officials wrote.
