A Connecticut couple visiting friends in Pennsylvania was killed in a high-speed hit-and-run crash, and the driver has pleaded guilty to their deaths, authorities said. John Thomas Wadlinger Jr., 32, of Bensalem, admitted guilt to 20 charges, including two counts each of homicide by vehicle while DUI and homicide by vehicle, before Common Pleas Judge C. A driver has been charged with homicide by vehicle after a high-speed crash killed a man in a wheelchair, Harrisburg police announced on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Ricardo Alfredo Contreras-Cordero was driving north on 2nd Street when his vehicle left the roadway, crashing into multiple buildings and striking a pedestrian on the west sidewalk. A 26-year-old motorcyclist from Mount Pocono was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Monroe County, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred at about 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 on State Route 611 at Cayuga Drive in Coolbaugh Township.
