Police Were Called To PA Home For Assault Months Before Murder-Suicide: Docs
Months before they were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide, West Goshen police were called to a domestic dispute at the home of Kai O'Connor and Derek Calzadillas, according to documents obtained by Daily Voice. Officers drove to 432 Hightop Road on Tuesday, Jan. 2 because Calzadillas' loved ones had phoned in a welfare check, investigators have said. Authorities in Chester County are investigating a murder-suicide on Tuesday, Jan. 2, they said. West Goshen police responded to a home on the 400 block of Hightop Road for a welfare check on 41-year-old Derek Calzadillas, who relatives said hadn't heard from him in 24 hours, Chester County District Attorney Christopher De Barrena-Sarobe said. Through the window, responders saw a man lying unresponsive on the floor. A Lancaster County man has been sentenced for third-degree murder and drug delivery resulting in death for two separate incidents both occurring in 2020, according to a release by the Lancaster County District Attorney's office. Matthew J. Moser, 32, was sentenced by Lancaster County President Judge David Ashworth last week after pleading guilty to crimes resulting in the death of a man and a woman about a month apart, according to the district attorney.
