Man Who Displayed Gun During Argument Inside West Chester Bar Facing Charges, Police Say
A 25-year-old man is facing charges after police say he displayed a gun during an argument inside a West Chester bar over the weekend. A Barnaby's employee notified police of a man -- later identified as Jacob Coleman -- who had displayed a firearm during an argument inside of the bar and fled around 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to the West Chester Police Department. Coleman, of Glen Mills (Delaware County), apparently fled on foot Northbound on High Street, police said. West Chester Lawyer Facing Up To 23 Years In Prison For Accepting Payments For Incomplete Work
A West Chester lawyer and New Jersey native was sentenced to up to 23 years in prison for stealing money from his clients for incomplete work and using the identities of his ex-wife and former mother-in-law to open credit cards and take out loans, authorities announced. Joshua Janis, 40, worked as a lawyer for a West Chester law firm in 2013, and when it was discovered he was stealing money from the firm and its clients, he was fired, according to District Attorney Deb Ryan. An Ardmore man is facing attempted burglary charges after he allegedly punched through the back door window of a home in West Chester over the weekend, authorities said. Officers responded to the 200 block of West Union Street on a report of an unknown male attempting to enter a home around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, West Chester police said. Upon arrival, officers found Kyle S. Bianco in an alley behind the home, police said.
