It's in the 231st edition of the Old Farmer's Almanac, which says it has an 80-percent accuracy rate with its weather forecasts. “Depending on where you live, this will be the best of winters or memorable for all the wrong reasons,” said Janice Stillman, editor of The Old Farmer’s Almanac. “One half of the country will deal with bone-chilling cold and loads of snow, while the other half may feel like winter never really arrives.” Most of the Northeast will see a “cold, snowy” winter, according to the almanac's…

The National Weather Service forecast is sl…

Here's How Much Snow Is Expected In Storm Headed To Region
Put your rain boots back in the closet and get the snow boots out. The second storm of the week is headed to the Northeast, and it's bringing four to six inches of a wintry mix with it, meteorologists are saying. No Snow, But Gusty Winds & Some Rain Forecast For Thanksgiving Week In PA
Here's something to be thankful for: Although we’ll likely suffer the annual miles (and miles) of traffic backups, the weather in Pennsylvania doesn't threaten to be a problem heading into Thanksgiving. Forecasts of a pre-holiday mix of rain, snow and gusty winds were at best premature, a respected area weatherman said Saturday. At this point, in fact, “getaway” day on Wednesday looks to be sunny, meteorologist Joe Cioffi said. It starts with sunshine Saturday “pretty much from start to finish,” Cioffi said. Clouds roll in Sunday morning, but temperatures should move from the mid-…

Forecasters Size Up Chance Of November Snow As Cold Air Arrives From Canada
A change in the weather pattern will bring in the coldest air of the season. And as the air interacts with multiple storm systems, snow could develop as the calendar flips to November, according to AccuWeather.com forecasters. "Could we be talking about snow across parts of the Midwest and Northeast?” AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said. “Maybe.” That comment, made on Thursday, Oct. 28, is consistent with an earlier forecast by AccuWeather's Senior Meteorologist Paul Pastelok who said more than a month ago that there could be “a couple of rounds of cold weath…
