Sprint Car Racer Killed In Motorcycle Crash: York Coroner
A 19-year-old sprint car racer has died in a crash — off of the speedway, officials announced on Monday, July 15. Riley Emig of the 300 block of Protectory Road, Abbottstown, has died following a motorcycle crash into a pick-up truck towing a trailer, according to a release by the York County Coroner's Office. Riley was "traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck an F150 pick-up truck that had been pulling a trailer," as stated in the coroner's release. David Geesey's Deadly Heart Attack Leads To Crash In York
A 66-year-old Mechanicsburg man died following a car crash on New Year's Eve, but the coroner believes his actual cause of death was a "probable acute coronary event," as stated in a release late on Monday night. David Geesey of the 600 block of Billet Avenue was in a single-vehicle crash on Broadway, near Stock Street, Hanover, according to the York County Coroner's office. Man, 24, Drowns In Lake At Central PA State Park
A 24-year-old man drowned in a lake located in a Pennsylvania State Park Saturday, York County officials said. The unidentified male was out with family on a pontoon rental when they all decided to swim close to the shore around 7 p.m. in Lake Marburg at Codorus State Park, York County Coroner Pamela Gay said. The victim was reportedly a good swimmer and was using a camera under water. His family realized he hadn't resurfaced, and so all went back in the waters to find him, Gay said.
