A local business owner and great-grandfather was killed in a crash, and a California trucker has been requested to be charged in connection with his death, Pennsylvania State Police told Daily Voice on Tuesday, March 5. Ira L. Connecticut Couple Killed In Pennsylvania Crash, Bucks County DA Says
The pair killed in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Bristol Township over the weekend has been identified as a husband and wife from Brooklyn, Connecticut. Richard and Rebecca Whiddon, 37 and 33, were passengers in a Nissan that was struck near the corner of Veterans Highway and Ford Road on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 24, Daily Voice reported. A 29-year-old man has been identified following a fatal rollover crash, authorities told Daily Voice on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Matthew Carabello of the 2400 block of Franklin Drive in East Petersburg died an accidental death caused by multiple traumatic injuries, Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber told us. A child has been taken to a trauma center after being struck by a vehicle, Chambersburg police announced on Friday. The child "[accidentally] ran onto the roadway and was struck by a passing motorist," on Dec. 8, as written in the police release. A jackknifed tractor-trailer caused major delays on US Route 30 on Friday afternoon. The tractor-trailer leaked fuel onto US Rt. 30 East by Exit: PA 462 - Lincoln Highway, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The jackknifing happened around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, dispatchers explained. No injuries were reported, but a HazMat crew remains on the scene for "spill control," dispatchers said. Company 63 from the Lafayette Fire Company assisted Lancaster County HazMat with the cleanup. The fuel came from the tractor-trailer's saddle tanks, the company explained. …

A school bus taking children to school was rear-ended on Wednesday morning, according to the police. Crash With Freightliner Kills Pennsylvania Driver On Route 78 In New Jersey: Police
A Honda driver from Pennsylvania was killed after hitting a Freightliner that was parked on the shoulder of Route 78 early on Tuesday, Nov. 7, police confirmed. Alejandro Reyes-Moya, 52, was driving a Honda CRV on the eastbound side near milepost 4.2 in Greenwich Township when he struck the back of a Freightliner pulling a utility trailer that was parked on the right shoulder around 4:15 a.m., Sgt. Charles Marchan told Daily Voice. Reyes-Moya, of Lebanon, PA, was killed in the crash, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation and there was no further information as of press time.
