: Ice Scraper Assault Of Passenger In Camp Hill, Police Say
A drunk driver and a man with an ice scraper got into a road rage-fueled fight in Camp Hill, police announced on Friday, Feb. 23. The Camp Hill police were called to "an active road rage incident" in the 300 block of South 32nd Street at 8:26 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, as stated in the department's release. A Pennsylvania driver has been indicted on DWI charges in a crash that killed an off-duty New Jersey corrections officer, NJ Advance Media reported. Joshua R. Beardsworth, 25, of Pittsgrove Township, was stopped in his BMW on the right shoulder of Route 55 when a car — also on the northbound side — struck him in Vineland on Aug. 15, 2021, according to earlier reports. A 31-year-old driver had been drinking when he led police on a 100 mph pursuit, but was tracked down by police who followed the scrape marks from the rim of his car that had lost a tire, they said. A man later identified as Kenneth Pohlit was spotted stumbling around near Grandview Drive and Golf Course Road around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, Carroll Township police said. A woman who was wanted by police in Berks County has been charged with a felony, among other charges, for assaulting a police officer in Lancaster County. PA Man Wanted For Terroristic Threats Jailed After Slate Belt Traffic Stop
A PA man wanted on four active warrants — including one for terroristic threats — was jailed after a traffic stop in Northampton County, authorities said. Vernon Leroy Fountain Jr. was stopped April 11 near N. Broadway and Park Avenue in Wind Gap after police noticed that the vehicle’s registration had canceled insurance, authorities said.
