Chop Doctor Killed In Philadelphia Crash The bicyclist who died in a crash on Wednesday, July 17, was a doctor at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, according to police and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia website.  Barbara Ann Friedes, 30, was struck from behind by a 2018 Volkswagen on the 1800 block of Spruce Street around 7 p.m., Philadelphia police wrote in a release.  The Volkswagen then hit three parked cars before coming to a rest, police continued. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. outside the field on 48th Street and Spruce Street, the outlet says. Police have only said they discovered shell casings around the scene, where the Lincoln High School team and the West Philadelphia High School team were competing, according to the outlet.
