PA Man Sentenced In July 4th Snapchat Shooting That Injured 4
A 21-year-old Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 24 to 50 years behind bars for a Fourth of July shooting over a fight that began on Snapchat in 2020, authorities announced Thursday. Mark Ivie Jr., of Ephrata, was convicted of five counts of aggravated assault and multiple other charges after opening fire at a group of men with an AR-15 at his family's home on July 5, the Lancaster County DA said. Threats On Snapchat Close Central PA School District: Police
A central Pennsylvania school district closed on Thursday due to anonymous threats, according to a police. Families were notified of that Donegal School District would Be closed via a voicemail on Wednesday night, abc27 reports. The threats were made on Snapchat saying they were "gonna shoot up a school" and “**** dongal be ready tmr," according to police. The school district plans to reopen Friday with police presence as a security measures, police say. Anyone with information on the threat should contact Susquehanna Regional Police at 717-426-1164.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating after fifteen school districts were threatened and thirteen schools have temporarily closed due to threats made on Snapchat, according to school officials. The threats were first made on Snapchat and the echoed on other social media outlets on Monday, Nov. 29, according to school administrators in the Pittsburgh area. An assistant middle school principal has been sentenced for soliciting nude photos of young girls, according to court documents and the Snyder County district attorney's office. Christopher Scott Morrison, 40, of New Bloomfield worked at Selinsgrove, Area School District during which time he used Snapchat to contact four girls ages 11 to 14, the Lewistown Sentinel reported court documents and according to the the release for the DA. A student at River Rock Academy is under investigation after they disseminated nude photos of juvenile, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The unidentified 14-year-old boy from St. Thomas, Pennsylvania caught with nude photographs of girls on Sept. 9 around 9:30 a.m. The boy "disseminated the sexually explicit photos to juveniles," at the academy using the app Snapchat, police say. A woman was using SnapChat while high on drugs when she caused a fatal horse-and-buggy accident. Tabitha L.
