A husband and wife have been charged after they stopped traffic at an intersection to threaten a driver and damage their car on Shippensburg Police announced on Friday, Aug. 30. Christopher "Chris" Clinton Skaggs and Michelle (Naugle) Skaggs previously of Shippensburg but most recently of Orrstown have been charged with disorderly conduct Title 18 5503(a)(4), according to the police release. State Trooper Impersonator Nabbed In Shippensburg, Police Say
A man who impersonated a Pennsylvania state police trooper while threatening people has been arrested in Shippensburg, authorities say. Elmer Lawrence Ardinger, 60, was arrested on Monday, January 9, according to a release by the Shippensburg Police on Thursday. "Ardinger was upset over a misunderstanding. Ardinger called himself Trooper Ardinger and threatened to come to the victim's location and take care of things in his trooper vehicle," the police say. Ardinger was charged with impersonating a public servant and harassment, police say and court records confirm.

'Heroes' Who Lifted Car Off Pedestrian Sought By Shippensburg Police
A pedestrian was rescued by local "heroes" hit in a crosswalk and crushed by a car in Shippensburg on Tuesday, Sept. 27, authorities say. The crash happened in the 400 block of East King Street just before 5 p.m., according to a release by the Shippensburg police. "Several people help lift a vehicle off of a pedestrian," police say. Child Arrested For Making Bomb, Shooting Threats In Central PA School: Police
A child has been charged and arrested for making shooting and bombing threats at a middle school on three separate occasions, according to the police. Shippensburg police first began looking into the child's actions when they threatened to shoot students at the Shippensburg Area Middle School on Jan. 11, police say. The same child made bomb threats against the school on Mar. 8 and again on 10 of this year, the release shows.
