Car Crashes Into Bus Shelter Near Target On Lincoln Highway East (Photos) A car slammed into a bus shelter near the Target on Lincoln Highway East, trapping the driver inside and prompting a rescue, authorities announced on Thursday, Jan. 23. The Lafayette, Witmer, and Ronks Fire Companies, along with Lancaster EMS and East Lampeter Township police, were dispatched to the crash in the 2300 block of Lincoln Highway East around 8:30 p.m., according to the Lafayette Fire Company. Unconscious Man Rescued From Roof In Lancaster County: Officials (Photos) Multiple fire companies worked together to rescue an unconscious man from the roof of a home on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14, the Witmer Fire Protective Association announced later that day.  The elderly man was found "not alert, stuck on top of a roof of a mobile home, and unable to get down," as stated in the release.  Members of Lafayette, Witmer, and Ronks fire companies, as well as Lancaster EMS, worked together to get the man down safely. It's unclear why the man was on the roof.

Mother Of 5 Young Children Killed In Rt 30 Crash A mother of five was killed in a crash along Route 30 on Monday, according to police. A tractor-trailer and a 2020 Ford Escape collided in 2900 block of Lincoln Highway East/Route 30 around 7:40 a.m., according to East Lampeter Township police. For an unknown reason the Ford Escape, which was heading westbound, crossed over into the opposing lane-- striking an eastbound white 2001 Volvo VNL truck tractor pulling a trailer, according to an updated release by police.
