An Uber driver from Montgomery County was arrested for raping a Villanova University student who was drunk after a night out with friends, according to authorities. Mirvan Dinler, 26, of Trappe, picked the victim up at a Philadelphia nightclub in an UberX and drove her back to her dorm in Hovnanian Hall at the Radnor Township campus on Friday, Sept. 13, police paperwork reads. The incident happened when police in Newton Square attempted a traffic stop of a white Nissan Altima in the 800 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue, Radnor Township around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11. A Chester County area basketball trainer is accused of sexually abusing child athletes for years, prosecutors say. Zachary Ray, 31, of Wynnewood, is charged with aggravated indecent assault, child pornography, unlawful contact, and related counts, said the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Investigators believe that from 2014 to 2023, Ray abused at least three victims between the ages of 10 and 16 at area schools, parks, and homes. West Chester native and reality television star Brandon "Bam" Margera was arrested in Radnor Township early on Wednesday, Aug. 9, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Citing an anonymous police source, the newspaper said Margera was issued a citation for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
