Suspect On Loose After Wild Chase Starting In Dauphin County: PA State Police
One suspect is still on the loose after a wild pursuit across two counties in Central Pennsylvania, according to a State Police release on Wednesday. Two men were spotted trying to break into a vehicle at the Ciocca Honda dealership located at 8001 Allentown Boulevard, West Hanover Township, around 5:45 a.m. on June 5, troopers detailed. The woman killed in a fiery three-vehicle on Route 283 in Dauphin County on Tuesday morning has been identified. Melissa 'Missy' Lynn Deroba, 49, of Middletown, died an accidental death due to smoke inhalation and thermal burns, according to Dauphin County Press Secretary Jennifer Fitch. A portion of Interstate 83 in Harrisburg was closed in both— for a cat rescue, PAWS of PA announced on March 26, 2023. A concerned citizen "spotted a scared cat frozen in fear by the median on I83 near Union Deposit and called PSP," the organization says. A Pennsylvania woman driving under the influence sent state police on a high speed chase around the Capitol, according to state police and court records. It all started when state police attempted a traffic stop in the area of Dunkle and Greenwood streets around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 8, the police release states.
