Coroner IDs School Bus Driver Who Died After Crash In Lebanon County
A school bus (van) crash in Lebanon County has become a fatal accident, after the bus driver died from his injuries, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Larry Schauer, 72 of Lebanon, died at a local hospital from injuries he sustained in the crash on Thursday, according to the Lancaster County Coroner. Schauer was driving a school bus carrying five children, ages 7 through 11 on their afternoon route home, when a Kia SUV hit the school van along Route 501 in Heidelberg Township, according to police. A Pennsylvania man who shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself in front of the couple's infant daughter apparently had a long history of domestic violence, a news report says. Elizabeth Wise of Swatara earlier this year reported being punched in the ribs and abdomen earlier this year by her husband, Brian Womelsdorf, but wanted to make the relationship work, PennLive reports. Swatara PD Heard Baby Crying, Found 3 Children In Home During Murder-Suicide
New details have come out about Friday's murder-suicide in Dauphin County, say Swatara Township police. The police arrived in 600 block of Mohn Street at 12:08 a.m., less than 10 minutes after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance in the area. Officers forced their way into the home when no one answered the door but they could "hear a baby crying."
