'High Risk Structure Fire' Battled At PA Paper Plant: Chief
A two alarm fire broke out at a paper mill in York County early Wednesday morning, Sept. 4, fire officials announced later in the day. Malfunction equipment near a conveyor belt appears to have sparked the blaze at the Pixelle Pulp Wood Distribution Center located at 5689 York Road in Spring Grove, North Codorus Township at 2:20 a.m., according to Chief Carr with the North Codorus Fire Company and the York County Department of Emergency Services. A 47-year-old man shot his sister and killed his brother-in-law after he thought they were poisoning his dinner so they could take his money, Northern York County Regional Police Detective Michael Hine explained in court documents obtained by Daily Voice on Tuesday, Feb. 20. 2 In 'Serious Condition,' After Second Carbon Monoxide Incident In York County: Fire Officials
For the second time in just over two weeks, first responders have been called to a carbon monoxide leak that left someone unconscious in York County. Hanover Area Fire & Rescue were called to a "carbon monoxide emergency" in the 400 block of Pleasant Street in Hanover Borough at 1:53 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26, according to a release by 79 Fire Volunteers. Coroner Identifies Driver In North Codorus Twp. Crash
A man has been identified as the driver and victim of Wednesday rollover crash in North Codorus Township, according to the York County Coroner. Terence Lehr, 67 of 4000 block of Zimmerman Drive was the driver and only victim of the crash. Lehr was a car lover and a former auto-mechanic, according to his Facebook profile. He was a graduate of West York High School. He is survived by his children and grandchildren. Northern York Co Regional Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.

Two Injured In Overnight Fire in York
Two York residents were hospitalized with injuries suffered in a house fire on Wednesday morning. Crews were called to the 1000 block of Ginger Lane in North Codorus Township for a fire with heavy smoke around 4 a.m., Emergency Dispatch Services said. Multiple crews responded and were able to extinguish the fire in less than 30 minutes. North Codorus Township Fire Co. Fire Chief Tim Carr, say a man and a woman were treated for smoke inhalation. Carr added that crews "assist[ed] the one resident out the window, which is probably what led to most of the lacerations that she had."
